Welcome to the home page of the North Carolina Agricultural Mediation Program!

NCAMP is the USDA certified state mediation provider for the State of North Carolina. NCAMP works with USDA customers and borrowers to resolve their dispute with USDA agencies. Mediation is an effective way to settle disputes in many different USDA programs, including farm loans, rural development housing loans, agricultural credit issues, and conservation programs.

NCAMPThe North Carolina Agricultural Mediation Program (NCAMP) was founded in fiscal year 2007 and became the thirty-third state to adopt an agricultural mediation program. NCAMP offers convenient, customized, and readily available mediation services to assist North Carolina USDA agencies and their customers in resolving natural resources and agricultural disputes.

Western Carolina University (WCU) and its College of Business are home to NCAMP.
NCAMP was created to meet Western Carolina University’s mission, as announced by Chancellor John Bardo: to become a “seriously ‘engaged university’ that works with our region and the state to improve the quality of life for the people we serve—the people of North Carolina.”

NCAMP meets this mission by providing mediators with agricultural and natural resources training to work with North Carolina agencies, farmers, producers, homeowners, and businesses to resolve credit and landownership disputes.
